WD just updated a support article saying that the 12.1 resolved the issue, but this is incorrect.

I was a Windows guy, who moved over the Mac but only recently started saving things to the Mac file system (on my Macbook Pro). Can anyone help me rename My Passport for Mac in MacBook Pro. I can find the drive using Device Manager and it says the drive is working fine, but it doesn't show up on windows explorer.

The drive used to be used on a mac so is probably in the wrong format so isn't automatically detected when I plug it into my PC. I am trying to reformat an external seagate harddrive for use on my windows 7 running PC.
